Pricing & access
Is BrailleLearn free?+
Yes. You can try Lesson 1 (letters A–E), the full alphabet reference, and a couple of free translations with no account and no payment. Full Access — everything unlocked — is a one-off £14.99 per year, less than 30p a week.
What does Full Access include?+
All 6 lessons from A–Z plus numbers, a quiz after every lesson, all 4 learning games, unlimited use of the translator and dot tapper, progress tracking with XP and levels, achievements, streaks, and full voice support throughout the app.
How do I unlock Full Access after paying?+
Access unlocks automatically within moments of completing payment through Stripe — you'll be redirected back to BrailleLearn with everything unlocked. If it doesn't unlock for any reason, email hello.braillelearn@gmail.com with the address you paid with and we'll sort it quickly.
Is it a subscription that renews automatically?+
Full Access is billed yearly. For details on renewal and cancellation, check your Stripe payment confirmation email, or contact us directly and we'll clarify your specific plan.
Using the app
Do I need to create an account?+
No account is required. Your progress, XP and streaks are saved automatically on your device. If you switch devices or clear your browser data, progress won't carry over.
What age is BrailleLearn suitable for?+
BrailleLearn works for children as young as 5 through to adults. Lessons increase gradually in difficulty, and each game is labelled with a suggested age range.
Can sighted parents, siblings or teachers use it too?+
Yes — BrailleLearn is designed for the whole family or classroom to learn together, not just the blind or partially sighted learner. Many parents use it to learn Braille alongside their child.
Does BrailleLearn work with a screen reader?+
Yes. There's a dedicated screen reader mode for VoiceOver, TalkBack, JAWS and NVDA that mutes the app's own voice output, so your screen reader can read everything without the two overlapping.
Can I use BrailleLearn on a phone or tablet?+
Yes — BrailleLearn works in any modern mobile or desktop browser with no app download required.
